John I. Tregea, Jr., 90, husband of Mary Jane (Emele) Tregea, of Perkiomenville, passed away on Sunday, April 20, 2014 at Grandview Hospital, Sellersville.
Born in Lower Salford Twp., PA, he was the son of the late Mary (Brook) and John I. Tregea, Sr.
He worked as a meat cutter for 36 years before retiring from the former A&P. He then worked for 10 years before retiring, as a head supervisor in the maintenance department of the Montgomery Co. park system.
John was a member of White Ash Land Association, Mildred, PA and was an avid fisherman and hunter.
He served in the 12th Armored Division and the 92nd Calvary Recon of the United States Army during World War II.
Surviving along with his wife of 66 years are their children, Kathleen, wife of Sterling Fitser, Jr., Green Lane, PA; Dave Tregea and wife, Deborah, Grantville, PA; and Timothy Tregea and wife, Diane, Durham, NH; sister, Cora Keohane, Schwenksville, PA; 4 grandchildren, Sterling, III,; Jonathan; Anne; and Samantha; 2 great-grandchildren, Kyra and Sterling IV. He was predeceased by sisters, Mary Burychka and Dorothy Cunningham.
