John Shupe III, 65, husband of the late Bonnie F. (Trumbauer) Shupe of Pennsburg passed away on Saturday, February 22, 2014 at St. Luke’s’ Hospital Quakertown.
Born in Quakertown, he was the son of the late Catherine I. (Miller) and John Shupe, Jr.
He played football and was a 1966 graduate from Upper Perkiomen High School. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and boating, was an avid Nascar and Eagle’s fan and loved his dog, Molly.
He was a machinist for 43 years, retiring in 2012 from Cooks Technology, Green Lane.
Surviving is his son, John Shupe, IV of Lewes, DE; stepson, Christian A. Trumbauer of Pennsburg; sisters, Renee, wife of Roger Thomas of Red Hill; and Ina Mae Beebe, companion of Robert Hunsberger of Hereford; grandson, Jacob Trumbauer of Pennsburg, mother-in-law, Anna Mae Prevette of Red Hill and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son, Jason Shupe and sisters, Judith Shupe and Betty Jane Brey.
A memorial service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 1, 2014 at Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington Street, East Greenville with Vicar Phillip Waselik officiating.
