John Schultz

August 30, 1941 — June 13, 2012

John H. Schultz, 70, of Zionsville, died Wednesday, June 13, 2012 while working at his home. He was the husband of Lois C. (Eichel) Schultz recently celebrating 47 years of marriage on June 12, 2012.

Born in Powder Valley, PA, he was a son of the late Wilbur S. and Carrie A. (Stahl) Schultz.

He was a Technical Supervisor for Sears Central Service in Catasauqua working there for 32 years until 1997.

He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army serving during Vietnam.

John was a member and the current Pastor of Bethany E.C. Church in Barto. He has been the Northeastern Representative for Men for Missions, the layman’s voice of OMSI, since 1989 and had traveled to many countries on mission trips around the world.

He was a passionate servant of Christ and others known for his sincere love and devotion as a Husband, Father and Pop-Pop. He will be sadly missed by his wife; two sons, Jonathan D. Schultz and wife, Karin of Zionsville and Andrew H. Schultz and wife, Shannon of Philadelphia; a brother, Robert Schultz of Zionsville; three sisters, Louise Dotterrer of East Greenville; Martha, wife of Rev. Donald Metz of Lititz and Doris, wife of Rev. Ronald Heim of New Ringgold; seven grandchildren, Matthew, Sarah, Daniel, Drew, Mary, Keith and Holly and a great grandson, Jonathan.

A funeral service was held 11 a.m. on Tuesday at Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington Street, East Greenville, PA with Pastor Andrew H. Schultz and Rev. Gary Kuehner officiating.
