John Rynhart

October 24, 1919 — November 6, 2014

John S. “Jack” Rynhart, 95, husband of Nancy M. (Miller) Rynhart, of Schwenskville and formerly of Perkiomenville, passed away on Thursday, November 6, 2014 at Greenfield of Perkiomen Valley in Schwenksville, PA.

Born October 24, 1919, in Carney’s Point, NJ, he was a son of the late Henry B. and Harriet (Allen) Rynhart.

He graduated in 1937 from Paulsboro High School (New Jersey).

He worked as an Industrial Engineer for Stanley Tools, a division of Stanley Works in New Britain, CT, retiring in December of 1984.

Jack was a trombonist in a South Jersey swing band in the late 1930’s where he met his future wife, Nancy, who was a swing band vocalist at the time. During his later years, Jack enjoyed playing golf, bird watching with his wife, dabbling on the computer and listening to music, especially Ragtime Jazz.

Surviving along with his wife, with whom he would have celebrated 73 years of marriage on December 8, 2014; are four sons, John Rynhart II and wife, Angel of Attica, KS; Dane Rynhart and partner, Judy Blake of Boulder, CO; Scott Rynhart and wife, Lorraine of Perkiomenville, PA and Terry Rynhart and wife, Janice of Orangeville, PA; five grandchildren, Jeff and David Rynhart, Tara Varner, Brett Rynhart and Leslie Rynhart; and a great-granddaughter, Beatrice Varner. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by a brother, Allen Rynhart and a sister, Frances Nelson.

A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
