John E. Horn, Sr., 88, husband of the late Isabel (Ziegler) Horn, formerly of Eichele Road, Perkiomenville, died Friday, January 21, 2011 at Park House Provicence Pointe, Royersford.
Born in Perkasie, he was a son of the late Erwin and Lizzie (Koch) Horn.
He was employed as a Safety Supervisor at the former AmChem Products in Ambler for many years before retiring.
He was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Army serving in the Pacific Theatre.
He was a member of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, Obelisk, PA.
Surviving are two daughters, Virginia Horn, wife of Richard Benfield of Laurel Springs, NJ and Patricia, wife of Thomas Ahlborn of West Chester; two brothers, Rev. Walton Horn of Reading and Richard Horn of Maryland; nine grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren. Along with his wife and parents, he is predeceased by a son, John E. Horn, Jr. and a sister, Elizabeth Snyder.
