John P. Harrington, 78, widower of Beulah M. (Kershner) Harrington, formerly of East Greenville and Red Hill died on Friday, May 18, 2012 at Pennsburg Manor Nursing Home.
Born in Norristown, PA he was a son of the late Ida (Laskey) and John P. Harrington, Sr.
He was employed as a Greeter at Walmart in Georgia and Harleysville for many years before retiring. Prior to that he had worked at the former Pillsbury Company in East Greenville and at Graterford Prison.
He was a member of New Goshenhoppen United Church of Christ, East Greenville.
Surviving are three children, Candice J., wife of Kevin Carl of Palm, Eugene J. Harrington and wife, Cindy of Allentown and Robert J. Harrington of Georgia; siblings, Mae Harrington of Pittsburgh, William Harrington and wife, Debra of Quakertown, Thomas Harrington and wife, Marie of Norristown, Joseph Harrington and wife, Gloria of Abington and Clyde Harrington and wife, Patricia of Conshohocken; 9 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren and sister-in-law, Alice Kershner of East Greenville.
Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Cremation services are by the Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington Street, East Greenville, PA. Offer words of comfort to the family at
