John Ford

John R. “Jack” Ford, Sr., 74, formerly of Fords, NJ, beloved husband of Mary Jane (Mendles), died July 19, 2011 at Grand View Hospital. He and his wife were married 54 years and resided in Pennsburg, PA for the past 8 years..
Born in Jersey City, New Jersey, he was the son of the late Andrew J., Sr. and Julia A. (McNally) Ford.
He worked for 39 years at Metropolitan and Prudential Life Insurance Companies in NJ, retiring in 1995. After retiring he worked as a school bus driver in Pennsylvania.
Surviving along with his wife are children, Joan Kulesza and husband, Charles of Hilltown, PA, John Ford, Jr. and wife, Catherine (Talke) of Edison, NJ, Robert Ford of Pennsburg and Eileen Barth and husband, Donald, Jr. of East Rockhill Twp.; a sister AnneMarie Davis of Lyndhurst, NJ; seven grandchildren, John Ford, III, C.J., Kayleen, Erin and Timothy Kulesza, Donnie and Keri Barth. Also survived by his loyal companion and beloved dog, Dolly.
He was predeceased by a brother, Andrew Ford. and a sister Joan Cobb.
Cremation services are by Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home. Relatives and friends are invited to a memorial funeral mass to be celebrated by Monsignor John Doran on Saturday, 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Peace Church, Fords, NJ.
