John A. Fletcher III, 68, of Lower Milford, Twp., passed away at his home on Friday, June 9, 2023 with his beloved dog by his side.
He was born in Philadelphia to the late John A. Jr. and Marie J. (Krumenacker) Fletcher. He was a graduate of St. Joseph Preparatory School and Villanova University.
He was an avid Philadelphia sports fan and also was a longtime umpire. One of his proudest moments was umpiring with his son. John also loved dogs and was a doting dog walker.
Those who knew John will never forget his signature sense of humor and talent for a good practical joke and making people laugh. He loved beautifying his yard and home, which he always said was the center of the universe and is undoubtedly where many Easter eggs remain unfound in his forsythia bush.
He is survived by his children: Jenna Fletcher and her husband Nathan Horst; Kaitlyn Kelly and her husband Garrett; John A. Fletcher IV; grandchildren: Lucy Marie, Max Alexander, August Charles; sisters: Dianne M. Fletcher and Jeannette A. Williams; nieces: Jeanine, Julieann, Jessica and Jaqueline.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, June 16, 2023 at 11:00 AM at St. Isidore Church, 2545 W. Pumping Station Rd., Quakertown, PA 18951. Viewing will be from 10-11 AM. Burial will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Philadelphia, PA.
