John David "Dave" Benzenhafer, 63, of Boyertown, died on Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at Lehigh Valley Hospital – Cedar Crest.
Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was a son of the late John Philip and Evelyn (Guckin) Benzenhafer.
He was employed as a Tool and Die Maker Supervisor at Superior Metal in Stowe from 2004 until 2010 and also at Dela Foil Company in Pottstown from 1990 until 2004.
He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps serving in Vietnam.
He will be sadly missed by his four daughters, Hope, wife of Jeff Garbutt of Northfield, NJ, Stacy, wife of Drew Van Dam, Jr. of Cornwall, NY, Nicole Benzenhafer of Spring City, PA and Marla Benzenhafer of Birdsboro, PA; his companion, Sherry Hanna with whom he resided and her daughter, Jamie Trego of Pottstown and his siblings, Patsy Benzenhafer of Port St. Lucie, FL, Richard Benzenhafer of Stuart, FL, Vivian, wife of Graham Hames of East Greenville, Sandra Benzenhafer of Bensalem and Wayne Benzenhafer of Red Hill and four grandchildren, Jeff Garbutt, Jr., Colby and Nathan Van Dam and Marcell Benzenhafer.
A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 1, 2013 at Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington Street, East Greenville with Rev. Robert A. Roncase officiating. Burial follows in Washington Crossing Cemetery, Newtown, PA. Family and friends are invited to a viewing from 9:30 to 11 a.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home prior to the service.
