John H. Albright, II, of Gilbertsville, PA, passed away on Tuesday, March 8, 2022 at Suburban Woods Health & Rehab Center in Norristown. PA. He was 70 years old. Born in Pottstown, he was the son of the late John H. and Isabella (Fillman) Albright, Sr.
John was a graduate of Pottstown High School and spent many years in Alaska before making his way back home to Gilbertsville, PA. He was employed with Rolling Hill Apartments in Pottstown, PA in the maintenance department for many years and also helped with the building of homes in Pottstown; offering his skills as an electrician and plumber.
John was a member of Shepherd of the Hills Church in Bechtelsville, PA where he was a longtime volunteer with the singles class and formerly held a leadership position with the church Boy Scout Troop 291. He was also a member of the Multi-Service in Boyertown, where he was a valuable volunteer for the Meals on Wheels Program.
Suffering a traumatic brain injury in 1982, he was an active member of the Head Trauma Support Group in Reading, PA.
Surviving are his two children, Ryan and Brianne Albright; three grandchildren; two siblings, David and Deborah Albright; and his church family.
A funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Thursday, March 17 2022 at Shepherd of the Hills Church, 527 Hoffmansville Rd., Bechtelsville, PA 19505 with a burial following in the church cemetery. Family and friends may attend a viewing from 10 to 10:45 at the church prior to the service.
