Joan Lampart

May 14, 1935 — December 29, 2024

Joan M. Lampart, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, peacefully passed away on December 29, 2024, at the age of 89. Born in Philadelphia, to the late Albert and Anna (Jugla) McArdle, Joan spent her life dedicated to her family, faith, and community.

A graduate of Mastbaum High School, Joan's professional life was marked by her role as a Marketing/Meeting Planner at GlaxoSmithKline Pharmaceuticals, where her organizational skills and warm demeanor touched the lives of many. Yet it was her faith and commitment to community service that defined much of her life. A faithful woman, Joan was an active member of St. Philip Neri Parish in Pennsburg, where she served as the outreach coordinator, lector, and Eucharistic minister, and often leading Bible studies that nurtured the spiritual growth of those around her, She was equally involved at St. William's Parish in Philadelphia, serving for many years as a member of the finance committee, as well as serving as a lector and Eucharistic minister. Her devotion extended beyond the walls of the church as she would volunteer time feeding the homeless in Philadelphia.

Joan served her community in various ways. She was a former president of the Lawncrest Woman's Club and president of the AVA - American Volksport Association and also a proud member Liberty Wanderers Walking Club, where she proudly walked five miles in every state! An avid reader, Joan found joy in the pages of countless books, always eager to share stories and insights with her family and friends. Joan travelled extensively and always returned with wonderful stories and bits of knowledge/history to share about all the places that she visited.

Joan was married to Edward Lampart for 61 years, sharing a deep bond until his passing in 2018. Together, they built a loving family, and Joan's legacy lives on through her devoted children: Edward C. Lampart, Jr. and wife, Lori, Lynne A., wife of Mark Kirsch, and Elaine J., wife of Thomas Titlow; five grandchildren, Colleen K., wife of Col. Joseph Bincarousky, Thomas M. Titlow and wife, Lisa, Jessica M., wife of Sean Meister, Edward C. Lampart, III and wife, Courtney and Jackson Lampart; nine great-grandchildren, JJ, Elyse, Eire Lyn, Calla, Franklin, Shane, Edward IV, Nora and Emma Jane; and her brother, John McArdle and wife, Dorothy.
