Joan Garner

Joan Evelyn (Lancaster) Garner, 84, of Pennsburg, passed away on Friday, December 18, 2020 at her home. She was the loving wife of Glenn G. Garner, sharing 22 years of marriage before his passing in 1994.

Born in Ambler, PA, she was the daughter of the late Arthur G. Lancaster and Carol (Johnson) Malissa.

Joan was employed at AM Communications in Quakertown for many years, Solid State Scientific as a quality control inspector, a hostess at the Holiday Inn in Harleysville and a hostess and server at the Piper Junior. In her earlier years, she enjoyed traveling and was a former member of Curves in East Greenville and the former Lighthouse Gospel Tabernacle.

Surviving are her four children, Lori McCausland and husband, William, Gary Winkler, Carol Schwenk and husband, David and Valerie Fox and husband, Brett; 13 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren. Along with her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a son, Randy Winkler and two sisters, Carol Darde and Audrey Boris.

Services will be private at this time. She will be laid to rest with her husband at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, East Greenville. Condolences may be left to the family at www.mannslonakerfuneralhome.com.
