Jeanne Brandt

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jeanne Marie Brandt, a beloved mother, wife, sister, and friend, who left us peacefully at her home in East Greenville on January 14, 2025 at the age of 67. Born in Philadelphia, she was the loving daughter of Philip and Elizabeth (Keeley) DeHennis of Philadelphia. Jeanne lived a life filled with love, creativity, and deep devotion to her family.

Jeanne was a 1975 graduate of Olney High School. She began her professional journey working for the State Department of Welfare, where she dedicated 18 years of her life. However, when she welcomed her first child into the world, she found her true calling as a devoted mother and centered her life around raising her son and two daughters. With a heart full of love, Jeanne embraced motherhood, pouring her love and creativity into providing a home where her children felt supported, encouraged, and loved. Her nurturing spirit extended to volunteering at Hereford Elementary when her children her students, making a positive impact on the lives of other children. She also embraced the role as Mom-mom to her pooh bear when her first grandson was born.

A woman of artistic talents, Jeanne's passion for creativity was evident in her love for arts and crafts. Whether it was creating beautiful trinkets or designing heartfelt memorials for friends who had passed, her artistic flair radiated warmth and affection. She also had a profound appreciation for nature, particularly butterflies, which came to represent her free spirit and deep connection to family.

Jeanne was an active member of her community, serving for a decade in the Woman's Auxiliary of the Hereford Gun Club, as well as holding memberships at the East Greenville Fire Company and the Owls Nest #1302.

In addition to her parents, Jeanne is survived by her devoted spouse, Philip Brandt, with whom she celebrated 32 years of loving marriage. Their partnership was characterized by mutual respect, unwavering support, and a deep bond that served as a guiding light for their family. She is also survived by her three children, Philip Brandt (Kayla), Anna Kunder (Terry) and Emily Brower (William); her grandson, Edward Brandt; brothers, Philip, Donald and Michael DeHennis; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Services will be private at this time. Arrangements are entrusted to Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home. You may visit her book of memories to share memories and leave condolences. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly ask that friends and family consider planting a butterfly bush in her memory, as a tribute to her vibrant spirit and the beauty she brought into their lives.
