Jean A. (Azer) Tinder Gorey, 90, formerly of Green Lane, passed away on Friday, November 19, 2021 at Hidden Meadows on the Ridge in Sellersville, PA. She was the loving wife of the late Edwin Tinder and the late William Gorey.
Born in East Bangor, PA, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Sadie (Smith) Azer.
Jean was a 1949 graduate of Hatboro High School and went on to be employed as a legal secretary for the United States Army. She was also a wonderful homemaker dedicating her life to her husband and children. In her later years, she enjoyed crafting and learning about past family through geneaology.
Surviving are her son, Michael Tinder and wife, Annette; three grandchildren, Jennifer Stinner and husband, John, Mark Cardillo and wife, Daria and Rebecca Cardillo; a-great-granddaughter, Aurealia Cardillo; and a brother, Robert Azer and wife, Lois. In addition to her parents and husbands she is predeceased by children, Donald Tinder and Patricia Ann Schaff; and siblings, Shirley Decoursey and Margaret “Peggy” Ahumadd.
A graveside service will be held at 10 AM on Friday, November 26th, 2021 at Whitemarsh Memorial Park, 1169 Limekiln Pike, Amber, PA 19002.
