Jean (Eveler) DeHaven, 77, of Perkiomen Township, died on Tuesday, July 27, 2010 at St. Joseph Medical Center, Bern Township.
Born in Atlantic City, New Jersey she was a daughter of the late John and Frances M. (Howe) Eveler.
She was a Corrections Officer serving for 13 years at Graterford Prison, retiring in 1995.
She was a member of Graterford Bible Fellowship Church. Jean was known as a deeply spiritual person.
She was a 1950 graduate of Norristown High School, attended MANNA in Lansdale and attended Souderton Mennonite Church activities.
Surviving is a daughter, Marlene A. DeHaven and husband, Robert Beinert of Birdsboro; two sons, John D. DeHaven and wife, Debbie Carter of Collegeville, Brian J. DeHaven and wife, Carol of Gilbertsville; a half-sister, Valerie Deiter of New Jersey and seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Jean was predeceased by a son, Michael DeHaven, a daughter, Lori DeHaven and a grandson, Joshua DeHaven.
