Janice Nickerson

June 11, 1940 — May 22, 2011

Janice H. (Heil) Nickerson, 70, of Pennsburg, died on Sunday, May 22, 2011 at Grand View Hospital, Sellersville. She was the wife of William D. Nickerson, II. They would have celebrated 54 years of marriage this year.

Born in Palm, she was a daughter of the late Chalmers K. “Lefty” and Merle H. (Sell) Heil.

She was a member of Trinity Reformed United Church of Christ, Collegeville. She enjoyed camping and the outdoors, knitting scarves for the homeless in Philadelphia and volunteered for many years for Meals on Wheels.

Surviving along with her husband, are sons, Bill D. Nickerson, III of Macungie, and Doug Nickerson and wife, Loni of Pennsburg; a brother, Harold R. Heil of Florida; five grandchildren, Heather Anne, Chrissy, Katrina, Clay, Colton; eight great grandchildren, Kelsy, Danielle, Emily, Alexa, Ethan, Vincent, George and Logan. Along with her parents she was predeceased by a daughter, Carol Faith (Nickerson) Wilson.
