Janice Marie (Nyce) Jesiolowski, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister and friend, passed away on Saturday, November 16, 2024 at the age of 80. Born on February 4, 1944, in Lansdale, Janice was the daughter of the late Harvey W. and Jennie Lena (Schell) Nyce.
Janice was a 1962 graduate of Souderton High School. She initially worked in food service, and enjoyed the relationships that were formed between customers and friends. She later found fulfillment working at Merck, where she eventually retired after many years of dedicated service. She dedicated herself to her career while also nurturing, loving and raising her two children.
An avid gardener, and talented cook and baker, Janice found solace in the simple pleasures of life. She relished the moments spent reading, solving word search puzzles, and engaging in card games; particularly pinochle, with family and friends. She treasured her two favorite dogs, Ruby and Squirt, and spent many afternoons on the deck with them enjoying the sunshine and spoiling them with numerous treats. She loved watching the Phillies and the Eagles. But her true passion was attending youth and high school football games. She enthusiastically supported her grandsons' football teams, regardless of the weather. Nana, as her grandsons loved to call her, always showed up to give her unwavering support. Nana's boisterous presence at every game was a symbol of her endless encouragement and pride; not only in her grandsons' achievements, but in the successes of her hometown teams.
Family always was at the center of Janice's world, and her five grandsons held a special place in her heart, as they were the source of immense joy for her. The fondest memories revolved around them and the moments they shared together. She will always be remembered for her love of the holidays, especially Christmas. Janice treasured every holiday, embracing the festive spirit that each holiday brings in her own unique way, creating lasting memories with her family.
She is survived by her son, Neil Jesiolowski and wife, Beth; her daughter, Lana Goldstein and fiancé Philip Long; five beloved grandsons, Jared, Michael, Justin, Kyle and Trevor; and her brother, H. Ronald "Ronnie" Nyce and wife, Rosalie. She was predeceased by her sister, Jacquline Gehris.
Janice will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her, yet her memory and the love she shared will forever remain in the hearts of those who were touched by her spunky spirit and kindness. May she rest in eternal peace.
