James Andrew Monahan, II, 26, husband of Kristen L. (D’Angelo) Monahan, of Allentown, passed away on Wednesday, February 12, 2014 at Lehigh Valley Hospital – Cedar Crest.
Born in Sellersville, PA, he was the son of James A. Monahan, I, Red Hill and Kimberly A. (Goodwin), wife of Ralph Kleinsmith of Bethlehem.
James was a 2006 graduate of Salisbury High School, Allentown and worked as manager for 4 years at Big Woody’s Bar & Grill in Allentown.
Surviving in addition to his wife of 2 years, their 5 dogs and his parents, is his maternal grandparents, Howard L. Goodwin of East Greenville and the late Grace H. (Walker) Goodwin; paternal grandparents, Carole Lee (Sutton) and F. James Monahan, of Pennsburg; sister, Megan A, wife of Joseph Casilio of Bethlehem; 4 nephews; in-laws, Michael and Pamela (Barich) D’Angelo of Tobyhanna; a sister-in-law; 2 brother-in-laws and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
The funeral service will be held at 12 Noon on Thursday, February 20, 2014 at Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington Street, East Greenville, with Deacon Ernest D’Angelo officiating. There will be a viewing from 10 a.m. until 12 Noon Thursday at the funeral home. Burial follows in Frieden’s Union Cemetery, Sumneytown.
