Jack G. Bowlin, 68, of East Greenville, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, April 29, 2016 at Lehigh Valley Hospital – Cedar Crest. He was the husband of Julie L. (Schmidt) Bowlin and celebrated 48 years of marriage on March 2, 2016.
Born in Mulberry, Arkansas he was the son of the late Burl B. and Juanita Pearl (Rose) Bowlin.
He was a 1966 graduate of Upper Perkiomen High School where he was on the football and track teams. He then served as a U.S. Marine in the Vietnam War from 1968-1970. After being honorably discharged, he apprenticed working in sheet metal.
Jack worked for Kober Fabrication in Red Hill for many years and prior to that he worked at Hatfield Quality Meats.
He was an avid fisherman and hunter.
Jack is survived by his wife, Julie; two daughters, Jonelle L. Fazzolari and her husband Joseph of Harrisburg and Janna M. Bowlin of Pennsburg; two brothers, Raymond Bowlin and his wife Pamela of Pennsburg and Myron Bowlin and his wife Ester of Amarillo Texas; four grandchildren, Anthony and Connor Fazzolari and Felicity and Kylee Beck and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by a brother, Bob Bowlin and by a sister, Marilyn Foulds.
A memorial service will be held at Noon Saturday May 7, 2016 at the Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington Street, East Greenville, PA 18073. There will be a visitation from 10 am until Noon on Saturday prior to the service.
