Irwin M. Yerger, 97, of Pennsburg, passed away, Friday, June 30, 2017 at home.
Born in Upper Hanover Township, he was the son of the late Fred and Annie (Bauer) Yerger.
Irwin was a school bus driver for the former Stanley Snyder and also worked on the road crew for Upper Hanover Township. Prior to that, he worked on the family farm and at the family mill.
He was a lifelong member of St. Philip Neri Catholic Church. He was also a life member of the Pennsburg Fire Co., and a member of the East Greenville Fire Co. and the Owls.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing and bowling.
He is survived by a sister, Rita Latshaw of Pennsburg and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by a sister Rachael Henry.
A funeral mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 6, 2017 at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, 1325 Klinerd Road, Pennsburg, PA 18073 with Rev. Robert A. Roncase officiating. Burial follows in Holy Cross Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to a viewing from 10 to 11:00 a.m. at the church.
