Irene Elsie (Gery) Hahn, 100, formerly of East Greenville, PA died on Thursday, June 11, 2009 in San Antonio, Texas.
Born in East Greenville, PA she was a daughter of the late Morris A. and Cora A. (DeLong) Gery.
She was a Registered Nurse working all over Montgomery County in both private and public nursing retiring in 1980.
She was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy serving as an Ensign in the Nursing Corps during World War II.
She was a longtime member of New Goshenhoppen United Church of Christ.
Surviving are 2 daughters, Nancy C. Hahn of Catasaqua, PA and Susan A. Deason of San Antonio, TX and a grandson, Joshua Deason of San Diego, CA. Along with her parents, she is predeceased by a sister, Florence Richard.
A graveside funeral service and interment was held 11 a.m. Wednesday at New Goshenhoppen Cemetery, 1070 Church Road, East Greenville with Rev. Homer E. Royer, Jr. officiating.
The Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington Street, East Greenville was in charge of the arrangements.
