Henry J. Rauch, 88, of Pennsburg, originally of Fox Chase, passed away on February 17, 2017. He was the loving husband of Louise C. (Arch) Rauch.
Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Otto and Berta (Wolf) Rauch.
He was a graduate of Northeast Catholic where he was in the Alumni Club and he also had attended Spring Garden Institute for a few years.
He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army serving in Germany.
He worked as a Telephone Cable Splicer for Bell Telephone Company for 35 years before retiring and had previously worked as a Draftsman at United Engineers.
He enjoyed playing around with cars.
Surviving along with his wife are three daughters, Theresa, wife of John Morton of Philadelphia, Susan, wife of Albert Matejik of Pennsburg and Sharon, wife of Michael Matejik of Middletown, DE; grandfather to seven grandchildren, and Opa to 12 great-grandchildren.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, 1325 Klinerd Road, Pennsburg, PA with the Rev. Robert A. Roncase officiating. A visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church prior to the service. Interment will be held at a later date in St. John Neumann Cemetery.
