Helen M. (Reichart) Bauer, 94, widow of Paul H. Bauer, of Topton, formerly of Bally, passed away Sunday, May 12, 2013 at The Lutheran Home at Topton.
Born in Washington Township, Berks County, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Mabel (Mutter) Reichart.
She was a loving wife and mother and had worked at Great American Knitting Mills before marriage and then part time at Bally Case and Cooler after her children were grown.
Helen was a lifelong member of Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church.
Surviving are her five children, Mary Ann, wife of Albert Conley of Barto, Rita, wife Ronald Schott of Bally, Margaret, wife of Ronald Moyer of Bally, Francis C. Bauer and wife, Linda of Mertztown, and Joseph Bauer and wife, Debra of Alburtis; a sister, Bertha Dengler of Bally; five grandchildren, five step-grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, ten step-great-grandchildren and three step-great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by brothers, Paul, Joseph, Lawrence, Charles, Leo and Francis Reichart and sister, Mary Frank.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, May 16, 2013 at Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 610 Pine Street, Bally, PA 19503 with Msgr. Edward J. Coyle officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. A visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 10:45 am Thursday at the church.
