Harvey Sweinhart, 91, husband of Lillian (Blankenbiller) Sweinhart, of Barto, passed away on Wednesday, June 11, 2014 at Pennsburg Manor.
Born in New Hanover Township, Montgomery County, he was a son of the late Wilson and Emma (Stengel) Sweinhart.
Harvey was employed as a Welder and Designer for Boyertown Auto Body for 44 years.
He was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Sassamansville and loved Polka dancing, taking trips, especially bus trips, and going to Shady Maple.
He will be sadly missed by his wife; two daughters, Shirley Mae, wife of Walter Beattie of Barto and Pamela Mussey of State College; four grandchildren, Shannon, Brock, Micah and Bethany; and four great-grandchildren, Harrison, Danica, Lillian and Evan. Along with his parents, he was predeceased by brothers, Lloyd, Raymond, Ernest and Samuel Sweinhart and sisters, Mabel Miller and Mary Eshbach.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 14. 2014 at the Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington Street, East Greenville with Rev. Elaine Quincey officiating. Burial follows in St. Paul’s Lutheran Church Cemetery, Sassamansville. Relatives and friends are invited to a viewing from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home prior to the funeral.
