Harold E. “Pop” Schultz, 96, of East Greenville, PA passed away on March 14, 2023 at Pennsburg Manor. He was the widower of Maude M. (Hersh) Hunsberger Schultz.
He was born in East Greenville to the late LeRoy S. and Helen M. (Van Buskirk) Schultz. Harold was a Navy World War II veteran. Harold worked as a route salesman for 34 years for Woodson’s Dairy, Lehigh Valley Dairy, Martin Century Farms and Rosenberger’s Dairy respectively until retiring in 1990.
Harold was a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church where was a longtime Sunday School Superintendent and served as the cemetery caretaker. He was also a Life Member of the American Legion Post 5954 and Life Member of the Upper Perkiomen Ambulance Assoc. Harold served as the first ambulance driver. He also was a member of East Greenville Fire Co.
Harold and Maude loved taking Perkiomen Bus trips, going to see spring training baseball and the Reading Phillies. He was a lifelong Yankee fan. He was a proud veteran and loved his garden.
Surviving are sons: Charles E. Schultz and wife Natalie of East Greenville; Cheyenne W. Schultz and wife Tracy, of Arizona; step-son Thomas Hunsberger of Pennsburg; grandchildren: Brian Schultz and wife Courtney, Samantha and Caitlyn Schultz, Kimberly Storie and Michael Gery and wife Sally Erb and three great-grandchildren: Chase, Alyssa and Maddie. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Cherylann L. Pandolfo, wife of Gary, of AZ and brother, LeRoy Schultz.
A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, March 22, 2023 at Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington St. East Greenville, PA at 1:00 PM. A viewing will be from 12-1 PM. Burial will be in St. Mark’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Mark’s Lutheran Church Cemetery Fund, 81 N. Main St. Pennsburg, PA 18073.
