Grace Hope (Walker) Goodwin, 73, wife of Howard L., celebrated 56 years of marriage this year, of Rehoboth Beach, Del. died July 6, 2011 at Beebe Medical Center, Lewes, Delaware.
Born in Sumneytown, PA, she was a daughter of Eva (Smith) Walker of Red Hill and the late Earl Walker.
She was a loving mother and caregiver to all the children and grandchildren in her family. She was a member of New Life Bible Fellowship Church, Long Neck, Delaware. She enjoyed the beach and lighthouses at the beach.
Surviving along with her husband and mother are children, Gail R. Schmoyer and husband, Terry R. of Palm, Kerry L. Goodwin and wife, Carol of East Greenville, Gregory L. Goodwin and wife, Angie of Sellersville, Kimberly A. Kleinsmith and husband, Ralph of Bethlehem, Keith S. Goodwin and wife, Holly of Pennsburg and Gretchen E. Harpel and husband, Scott of Green Lane; grandchildren, Tanya, Kira, Kerry Danielle, Megan, Sheila, James, Justin, Rachael, Taylor, Gage, Danielle, Madison, Michelle, Brianna, Conner, Aliyah and Nikki; great grandchildren, Jocelyn and one on the way; brother, Mark J. Walker and wife, Jane of Huffs Church; sister, Cheryl A. McElroy and husband Randy of Pennsburg. She was predeceased by a grandson, Justice a brother, Sonny and a sister, Faith.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, July 11, 2011 at Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington Street, East Greenville, PA with Rev. Ray Bertolet officiating. Burial will follow in Frieden’s Union Cemetery, Sumneytown, PA. Friends and family are invited to a viewing in the funeral home from 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m.
