Gloria H. (Boehm) Hipple, 84, of Lenhartsville, PA, passed unexpectedly on Wednesday, March 6, 2019 at Reading Hospital.
Born March 11, 1934 in Newark, NJ, she was a loving daughter of the late George and Katherine (Gerhardt) Boehm.
Surviving along with her beloved companion Norman Faut are her children, William H. Hipple and Kathryn of Lakewood, NJ, Debbie K. Franks and Mark of Mt. Pocono, PA, David B. Hipple and Dawn of Kyle, TX, Bradley R. Hipple of Effort, PA, Phyllis R. Holben and Douglas of Macungie, PA and Laura H.Tucker and Michael of Henryville, PA. She’s also been blessed with 13 grandchildren: Justin, Ariel, Olivia, Alex, Zach, Sami, Markus, Xavier, John, Val, Daniel, Cameron and Emily.
She’s predeceased by her husband, August W. Hipple and daughter, Valerie.
Gloria’s life’s passion was singing. As a past member of Germania Park Club in Dover, NJ she sang with the Gesangverein Society. She later joined The Winning Hand and especially loved performing at Sunnybrook Ballroom in Pottstown, PA, a former Big Band venue.
As a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend, she stressed kindness and approached life with an open heart. We request that you honor her memory by spreading the message of love.
There will be a visitation on Tuesday, March 12, 2019, from 9:30 to 10:45. Services will follow at 11 AM at Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington Street, East Greenville, PA 18041 with Rev. Barry Moyer officiating.
