Gloria J. (Kulp) Bobyak, 72, of Pennsburg, died Tuesday, December 6, 2011 in The Hospice House of the VNA of St. Luke’s, Bethlehem. She was the wife of John C. Bobyak celebrating 40 years of marriage on October 9th.
Born in Pennsburg, she was a daughter of the late Paul and Helen (Bauer) Kulp.
She worked for over 30 years at Knoll Inc. retiring as the Manager of Technical Resources of Textiles in 2005.
She was a lifelong member of St. Philip Neri Catholic Church and was the co-chairman for the past several years of the American Cancer Society’s Relay For Life of Upper Perkiomen; a member of the Vintage Gals Club and a 1957 graduate of Pennsburg High School.
She will be sadly missed by her husband, six children, Peter Bobyak and wife, Terri of Long Branch, NJ, Rhoda Hettrick of Perkiomenville, Kristen Hettrick of Pennsburg, Randall Hettrick and wife, Doris of Seisholtzville, Ron Hettrick of Green Lane and Joanna Walter and husband, Thomas of Pennsburg; siblings, Richard Kulp and wife, Dorothy of Pennsburg, Gerald Kulp and wife, Gladys of Gilbertsville, Jeanette Hettrick of Pottstown, Priscilla Byndas of Pottstown and Darlene Grubb and husband, Roy of Pennsburg; nine grandchildren, Shannon, Corrie, Stacey, Kristy,Sirena, Alyssa, Ashton, Jesse and Anna; nine great grandchildren, Andrew, Taylor, Liam, Zane, Tristin, Simone, Aubrey, RJ and Tyler and a great great grandson, Jason. Along with her parents, she is predeceased by a son, John Bobyak and a brother, Leonard Kulp, Sr.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, December 10, 2011 at the Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington Street, East Greenville with the Rev. Robert A. Roncase officiating. Burial follows in Holy Cross Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to a viewing from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Friday and also from 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
