Gertrude (Czernes) Stephenson, 80, widow of George H. “Big George” Stephenson, of Pennsburg, passed away on Monday, July 15, 2013 at Pennsburg Manor.
Born in Philadelphia, PA she was the daughter of the late Leo and Anna (Pennapacker) Czernes.
She worked at Plummer Precision optics, Pennsburg, for 15 years before retiring.
Surviving are her 3 sons, Jeffrey Stephenson and his wife, Debra of Macungie, PA, Douglas Stephenson, Sr. and his wife, Luanne of North Carolina and Ronald Stephenson and his wife, Kathy of Key West, FL; 6 grandchildren, Jenny, Douglas, Jr., Brett, April, Sean and Amber; 2 great- granddaughters and 1 great-grandson, sisters, Leona Ferrarie, North Wales, Florence Yothers, Souderton, Mary Ann Dunlap, Perkasie and Helen Roth, Sellersville. She was predeceased by a brother, Leon Czernes.
Funeral Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
