Gertrude L. (Heintz) Schatz, 84, widower of Durrell G. Schatz, formerly of Sumneytown, died Wednesday, April 11, 2012 at St. Luke’s Quakertown Hospital.
Born in Willow Grove, she was a daughter of the late Gertrude (Tim) Heintz and Frederick R. Heintz, Sr.
She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Sumneytown.
She was homemaker and will be sadly missed by her daughter, Susan L., wife of Michael P. Swann of Pennsburg; two brothers, Henry R. “Hank” Heintz, Sr. of Perkiomenville and Elmer A. Heintz of Sumneytown and many nieces and nephews. Along with her husband and parents, she is predeceased by a daughter, Sally Ann Schatz, a grandson, Michael J. Swann and a brother, Frederick Heintz.
A private graveside funeral service was held at Frieden’s Union Cemetery with Rev. Cheryl A. Stoneback officiating.
