George J. Wolfe, 76, husband of Karen C. (Minner) Wolfe, of Barto, passed away on Friday, September 26, 2014 at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest.
Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Raymond E. and Clara M. (Spaar) Wolfe.
He was employed as a truck driver for the former Great American Knitting Mill of Bally. After retiring he was a school bus driver for Quigley Bus Co. of Bally.
George was Peacetime Veteran of the United States Navy.
He was a member of Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church of Bally, and Bally Goodwill Fire Company. He enjoyed hunting and was an animal lover.
Surviving in addition to his wife of 40 years; is a son, Daniel Wolfe and fiancé, Kelly Gross of Bechtelsville; a daughter, Helen Wolfe and significant other, Steve Foulke of Allentown; sisters, Jeanne Longenhagen of Barto and Mary Frances McNally of FL; a grand-dog, Jasper. Along with his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Paul Wolfe and a sister, Claire Schoedler.
A funeral mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday at Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 610 Pine Street, Bally, PA with Reverend Martin Kern officiating. Burial follows in Most Blessed Sacrament Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to a visitation from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church.
