George F. Miller, 83, husband of Mildred M. (Schmoyer) Miller, of Jefferson Street, East Greenville, died June 17, 2011 at his home. He and his wife celebrated 52 years of marriage on August 23, 2010.
Born in Locust Valley, PA, he was a son of the late Clinton G. and Viola E. (Schoenenberger) Miller.
He was the Dairy Manager at Weis Markets for many years in Pennsburg retiring in 1990. He was an Army Veteran of World War II.
He was a member of Huff’s United Church of Christ in Alburtis where he was a member of the Huff’s Church Dutch Players. He was also a member of the Grundsow Lodge, East Greenville and the Huffa Karrich Fersommling, Barricks Kounti.
Surviving along with his wife are five children, Richard C. Litzenberger of Hereford, Patricia A., wife of Bruce H. Gehris of Wescosville, Glenn R. Miller and wife, Viviane of Lansdale, Sandra E. Burks of Hereford and Elaine J., wife of Dr. Joseph Perez of Coopersburg; 10 grandchildren, Michelle, Stephanie, Sean, Christopher, Theresa, Amanda, Amy, Jennifer, Adam and Olivia and 4 great grandchildren, Demetrius, Alexander, Josiah and Isaiah. He was predeceased by a brother, Ralph N. Miller in February, 2011.
A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday at Huff’s United Church of Christ, 540 Conrad Road, Alburtis with Rev. Jane Moffat Kropa officiating. Interment will follow in Rauch Hertzog Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at church.
Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to the Repair Fund of the church.
