George T. Manion, 75, husband of Phyllis A. (Leister) Manion for 53 years, of Pennsburg, passed away on Monday, March 28, 2016 at St. Luke’s Hospice House.
Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was a son of the late George Manion and Winifred (Williams) Manion Bowers and raised by the late Evelyn and Charles Reihman.
George was a Self-Employed Pipe Fitter for many years before retiring and was known for his physical strength by his co-workers.
He was a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church and was an avid Eagles Fan, enjoyed hunting, fishing, being outdoors and gardening.
He will be sadly missed by his wife, Phyllis; children, Kris Manion of Pennsburg, Susan “Sue” wife of Randy Fies of Palmyra, Lisa, wife of Michael Todd of Center Valley, Jay Manion and wife, Heather of Temple and Thomas Manion and wife, Hope of Hereford; grandchildren, Holly, Alexis, Courtney, Tyler, George, Logan, Jane and Saoirse; a brother, David Manion of Quakertown and his foster brother, Clare Reihman and wife, Sharon of Green Lane. He was also predeceased by a brother, Harry Bowers, Jr.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 31, 2016 at Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington Street, East Greenville with the Rev. Charles Romanowski officiating.
