Gary L. Ziegler, 78, of Green Lane, passed away on Friday, January 22, 2021 at St. Luke’s Hospital Upper Bucks Campus. He was the loving husband of Judy L. (Grater) Ziegler, sharing 47 years of marriage together.
Born in Lansdale, he was the son of the late Harold and Mae (Perch) Ziegler.
He was a 1960 graduate of Schwenksville High School and was employed at Renninger’s Supermarket in Schwenksville as a grocery manager for 47 years. After retirement from Renninger’s, he took a part time job at Fetterolf Corporation for ten years.
Gary was the kindest and most generous man. He was completely devoted to his family, and will be forever missed by his wife, daughters and grandchildren.
Gary enjoyed golfing in the senior golf league at Macoby Run Golf Course and participating in a Quakertown bowling league with his wife. He also enjoyed taking vacations, going on cruises and cheering on his favorite sports teams, especially the Philadelphia 76ers. Whenever he was out driving in his pickup truck, he never failed to find wood to bring home for the fireplace. Above all of this, his favorite time was spent with his wife, children, grandchildren and great-grandson.
Along with his wife, he is survived by his two daughters, Deborah Fenton and husband, William and Julie Ziegler and husband, Eric; four grandchildren, Nicholas, Susanne, Pamela and Alex; a great-grandson, Nathan; and his sister, Carol Heintz. He is predeceased by sisters, Esther Walter and Florence Shuman.
