Gary Stewart Homeyard, 58, widower of Donna (Smith) Homeyard, of Perkiomenville, PA and formerly of Lansdale, PA died on Saturday, September 19, 2009 in Pennsburg Manor Nursing Home after an illness.
Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was a son of the late Ervin and Margaret (Stewart) Homeyard.
He was employed as a maintenance mechanic at Sermatech in Limerick, PA and also served in the Naval Reserves for many years.
He was a member of Boulder Valley Sportsmen’s Association where he enjoyed target shooting.
Surviving are a son, Jeremy S. Homeyard of Perkiomenville, PA; a brother, Bruce Homeyard of Gilbertsville, PA, his mother-in-law, Mildred Smith of Telford, PA, a brother-in-law, Blair Smith of Lansdale, PA and a sister-in-law, Melody Dean of Wanchese, NC.
A memorial service will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday in the Limerick Garden of Memories Chapel, 44 Swamp Pike, Limerick with the Rev. Donald Knier officiating. Inurnment followed in Limerick Garden of Memories.
Funeral arrangements were handled by the Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington Street, East Greenville, PA.
