Gary G. Aston, 70, of East Greenville, passed away on Sunday, January 9, 2022 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Bethlehem. He was the loving husband of Audrey M. (Long) Aston, sharing 32 years of marriage together.
Born in Sellersville, PA, he was the son of the late Russell and Frances E. (Grady) Aston.
Gary was employed at the former Delbar Products for 30 years working as a machine operator and doing maintenance. He then went to work for Lowes in Quakertown and lastly, he worked at Blommer Chocolate Company in East Greenville as a machine operator for ten years, retiring in 2014. He was a former member the East Greenville Fire Company and the Sellersville Moose.
A car enthusiast, he enjoyed working on classic cars and attending car shows. He also enjoyed riding his motorcycle, fishing, tinkering and spending time with his family.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Yvonne Aston of Palm; two step-sons, Scott Barndt and wife, Lori Pennsburg and Tim Barndt and partner, Michael Matey of Bethlehem; three grandchildren, Brandon, Breanna and Nick; a great-grandson, Wyatt; and a sister, Patricia Kulp. He is predeceased by a sister, Gail Stahl.
A memorial service will be held at 11 AM on Monday, January 17, 2022 at Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington St., East Greenville, PA 18041. A burial will follow in Friedens’s Union Cemetery in Sumneytown. Family and friends may attend a visitation from 9 to 10:45 AM.
