Frederick Gerloff

Frederick P. “Butch” Gerloff Sr., 87, of Red Hill, died July 23, 2012 at Pennsburg Manor, Pennsburg, PA. He was the husband of the late Eleanor M. (Getner) Gerloff.
Born in Coopersburg, PA he was a son of the late Wilhelm and Mamie (German) Gerloff.
He worked for most of his life as a dock worker and teamster, for North Penn Transfer, Lansdale, PA, retiring in 1983. He was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Blue Church, the American Legion Souderton Post # 0234, Morwood Sportsmen’s Club, Green Lane Fire Co. and Tylersport Fire Co.
He was a Corporal in the U.S. Army, serving from 1951 to 1953.
Surviving are two sons Clifford B. Gerloff and wife, Sandra L. of Boyertown; Frederick P. Gerloff, Jr. and wife, Heidi E. of Red Hill; a Daughter Robin M. Patterson and companion David Dorey of Mesa, AZ; two grandchildren Frederick P. Gerloff, III and Andrea B. Gerloff; and a sister Martha Diehl of Coopersburg.
He was predeceased by siblings, Walter and Alta.
