Freda (Dunn) Lesher, 94, of Perkiomenville, passed away Monday, November 1, 2010, in her home surrounded by her loving family.
She was the wife of Karl S. Lesher and would have celebrated their 54th wedding anniversary this December 7th.
Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was a daughter of the late Nathan and Celia (Novak) Dunn.
She was a seamstress for Lansdale Hosiery retiring in 1957. After retiring, she was a loving mother and homemaker. Family and friends were the most important thing to Freda as she lived her life caring for and serving others.
She was a member of Bally Mennonite Church, Trooper Senior Citizen’s Club, Audubon Senior
Citizen’s Club, Port Indian Civic Association, Bally Mennonite Sewing Circle and Harleysville Senior Center. In addition, she loved to sew, crotchet, play Pinochle and took pride in her flowers.
Surviving along with her husband are 2 sons, David Fonder and wife, Beverly of New Castle, Del, and George Fonder of Dover, Del; 2 daughters, Sandra Chellew of Chesapeake, VA and Karyn Lesher of Perkiomenville; 11 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren; 2 nieces and 2 nephews. She was predeceased by 3 sisters, Blanche
Feldman, Beatrice Comfort and Irene Dewees.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 5, 2010 at Bally Mennonite Church, 1481 Route 100, Bally, PA 19503. Interment will follow at Whitemarsh Cemetery, Ambler, PA. Family and friends may call from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Friday at the church.
