Frank W. Wiedecke, Jr. 69, of Barto, passed away on Thursday, December 31, 2020 at his home. He was born in Philadelphia to the late Frank W. Wiedecke, Sr. and the late Madeline C. (Doyle) and raised by his step-mother, Arlene (Kraft) Borell.
Frank moved to the Parkwood area of Philadelphia where he attended George Washington High School before he enlisted in the Army. Frank was a proud veteran of the United States Army where he served honorably during Vietnam as a sharp shooter and medic. He received the Purple Heart and other medals of honor during his service time.
He enjoyed going to the casinos and playing the slots, traveling with Christine and his brother, Bryant, and caring for and loving his precious dog, King.
Surviving are a sister-in-law, Christine Wiedecke; and a two brothers, Richard and Jeffrey Wiedecke; nieces, Jessica Marie, Isabella; and a great-niece, Victoria. He is predeceased by two brothers, Bryant and Kenneth.
A viewing will be held on Wednesday, January 13, 2021 from 9:30-10:30 AM at the Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington St., East Greenville, PA. A graveside service will be held at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery at 12:30 PM.
