Frank J. DeCaro, 78, of Quakertown, passed away on Friday, January 29, 2016, at Valley Manor Nursing Home in Coopersburg.
Born in Philadelphia, he was a son of the late Frank and Emily (Switer) DeCaro.
Frank worked for the former Lee Tire in Conshohocken prior to closing, after he worked as a Journeyman Millwright, for of 20 years before retiring in 1999 from Merck in Westpoint.
He served in the United States Air Force during Vietnam.
Frank was a member of St. Isidore’s Catholic Church in Quakertown and American Legion Post # 242 in Quakertown and enjoyed collecting cars.
Surviving are three children, Carol A. Amey of Trumbauersville; Frank T. DeCaro and wife, Gail of East Greenville and John A. DeCaro of Philadelphia; two step-children, Stephen Indan and wife, Barbara of Philadelphia and Kimberly DePiera of Philadelphia; a sister, Frances Vera; four grandchildren, Nikki, Vincent and Abigail DeCaro and Kyle Amey.
A funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, February 5, 2016 at Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington Street, East Greenville with the Rev. Robert A. Roncase officiating. Burial follows in Holy Cross Cemetery, Pennsburg. Family and friends are invited to a viewing from 12:30 pm to 1:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home prior to the service.
