Francis L. Burgert, 76, of Pennsburg, died Tuesday November 20, 2012 at his home. He was the husband of Marlene F. (Mohr) Burgert celebrating 55 years of marriage on November 24, 2012.
Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of late Catherine Burgert.
Francis retired from Pillsbury in 1994 after working 25 years in production.
He was Peacetime Veteran of the U.S. Army.
Francis was a longtime member of St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, VFW Post #5954, Red Hill, American Legion Post # 184, East Greenville and Red Hill Fire Company.
Surviving along with his wife are four children, David F. Burgert and wife, Debra of East Greenville; Pattie L. Perry and husband Edward of Zion Hill, Gary T. Burgert and wife, Beth of Middlesex, NY and Louis J. Burgert and wife, Heidi of Pennsburg; eight grandchildren; two step grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and five step great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son, Michael W. Burgert.
A funeral mass will be celebrated 11:00 a.m. on Friday at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, 1325 Klinerd Rd, Pennsburg, PA 18073, with Reverend Robert A. Roncase officiating. Burial follows in Holy Cross Cemetery, Pennsburg. Family and Friends are invited to a viewing from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church.
