Francis J. “Frank” Brisar, 78, of Red Hill, passed away on Monday, August 22, 2022 at Brandywine Living at Senior Suites in East Norriton. He was the loving husband of Barbara A. (Gilbert) Brisar, sharing 51 years of marriage together.
Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Frank and Mildred (Widmeier) Brisar.
He was a 1962 graduate of Cardinal Dougherty High School in Philadelphia. He served his country in the Air Force during the Vietnam War. After being honorably discharged, he was employed at Merck in the field of Quality Control/Sterile Manufacturing for 34 years before retiring.
He was a member of St. Philip Neri R.C. Church in Pennsburg.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his three children, Jon David Brisar and wife, Ivey, Chris Brisar and wife, Amy and Carolyn Chavez and husband, Joe; and five grandchildren, Brendan, Ronan, Keira, Katalena and Kade. He is predeceased by a grandson, Connor Brisar and a sister, Eileen Sladek.
Frank was proud of serving his country and could often be found sitting at the local diner sharing his stories with other veterans and friends. In his spare time, he enjoyed watching his grandchildren play and snacking on his favorite Philly snacks. Frank was not an outspoken man, but he would always take the time to ask how you were doing and check on those he cared about. In the last few months, Frank’s greatest joy came when his grandchildren would visit him with some Philly Pretzels. Those were the times you could see his biggest smile.
