Florence E. (Engelman) Schlicher, 98, widow of William M. Schlicher, of Zionsville, passed away on Saturday, October 26, 2013 at St. Luke’s Hospital – Bethlehem.
Born in Trumbauersville, she was the daughter of the late Wilson and Elva (Moose) Engelman.
She ran the family farm, beside her husband for 40 years. She was a member of Zion’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Old Zionsville, PA and of the Woodman of the World Lodge, Bechtelsville.
Surviving are her two sons, Donald O. Schlicher and his wife, Sandra, Zionsville and Dale W. Schlicher and his wife, Mary Christine, West Chester; brothers, Samuel Engelman, Mesa, AZ and Robert Engelman, Palmyra, PA; 5 grandchildren, Dennis, Darryl, Jonathan, Joy and Jennifer; 12 great-grandchildren and 2 step-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a brother, Harry Engelman.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Zion’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 5901 Kings Highway South, Old Zionsville, PA 18068 with Rev. Martin Milne officiating.
