Florence M. Smoyer, known by most as “Candee”, passed away on Saturday, March 21, 2020 at Twining Village at 94 years old. She was the loving wife of the late Joseph W. Smoyer, sharing 70 years of marriage before his passing in 2017.
Born in Hereford Township, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Ella (Lesher) Leh.
She was a graduate of Emmaus High School and devoted her life to caring for and loving her husband, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also operated a drapery business out of her home for many years.
Candee enjoyed sewing, quilting and doll making.
She is survived by her children, Dan Smoyer and wife, Judy of Newtown, PA, Scott Smoyer and wife, Rebecca of Candler, NC, Keith Smoyer of East Flat Rock, NC, Debbie Eng and husband, Jim of Loveland, CO and Tom Smoyer and wife, Debbie of St. Petersburg, FL.; 14 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Richard Leh and wife, Merle of Zionsville, PA.
She is predeceased by two brothers, Ralph and Robert Leh.
