Faye J. (Cressman) Stauffer, 101, formerly of Pennsburg, passed away on Sunday, March 28, 2021 at The Community at Rockhill. She was the wife of the late Rev. Robert E. Stauffer.
Faye was born in Perkasie to the late Horace and Helen (Yoder) Cressman. She was a 1937 graduate of the former Sell-Perk High School. Faye then attended and graduated from the Philadelphia Conservatory of Music. She married her husband on June 28, 1942. While her husband Bob was attending seminary in Dayton, Ohio, Faye taught accordion lessons in Richmond, IN. Upon returning to the area, Faye taught accordion at Lamb’s Music Store in Pottstown. She also served as a crossing guard and worked as a bus trip planner for Perkiomen Tours. Faye played piano and directed the choirs for the churches they served.
She was a member of Salem United Methodist Church, Zionsville, PA.
Surviving are her children: Robert J. Stauffer and his wife Janie, of Haverford; Karen L. Knapp, life partner of Richard Kreider of Reading; and Diane L. Cheer and her husband John, of Allentown; seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Faye was also preceded in death by a brother, William Cressman.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, May 1, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Salem United Methodist Church, 6440 Powder valley Road, Zionsville, PA 18092.
