Fay C. Katrinak

January 30, 1931 — September 6, 2024

Pennsburg

Fay C. Katrinak, went to be with her Lord on Friday, September 6, 2024 at the age of 93. She was born in Pennsburg, to the late Horace and Catherine (Christman) Moll. She married John P. Katrinak in 1949 and they shared 65 years of marriage before his passing in 2014.

Fay worked at Berman Sales in Pennsburg before dedicating 22 years working in the cafeteria for the Upper Perkiomen School District.

Fay was a dedicated member of the St. Philip Neri Catholic Church in Pennsburg where she found comfort and solace in her faith. She shared her beautiful voice in the choir for over fifty years and also served as the cantor for many years. Fay sang at hundreds of weddings and funerals at St. Philip Neri Church and other churches in the Upper Perkiomen Valley. Her passion for singing also led her to participate in various music groups, including the Choral Arts Society of the Upper Perkiomen Valley; The United Schwenkfelder Choir; the Philadelphia Archdiocesan Choir for the 41st International Eucharistic Congress; and the Over the Hill gang; a senior citizen choral group that shared their talent at local nursing homes.

Beyond her musical endeavors, Fay selflessly gave back to her community, volunteering at the local thrift shop and assisting with church events like bingo and the Lenten Fish Fry. Fay was a member of the UPHS Band Booster Club and participated in the community production of Jesus Christ Superstar. She was also a member of the Pennsburg Fire Co. and the Senior Center. Fay loved to bake for family, friends and church events.

Fay is survived by her loving children, Thomas (Judy) Katrinak, Karen Katrinak, Steven (Michele Fonte) Katrinak; and Donna (Richard) Witmer; grandchildren Christina, Michael, Victoria, and Felicia; five great-grandchildren; as well as her brothers John (Sandy) Moll and Rodney (Suzie) Moll, and sister Marlene DeLong. She is predeceased by her daughter, Kathleen Piepszowski and her brother Jeremiah Moll.

Fay's memory will live on through her family she loved deeply, the songs she sang, her laugh and smile and the love she shared with those around her. May she rest in peace, surrounded by the heavenly choir in which she now sings.
