Evelyn Loretta (Welsh) Dixon, 90, of The Birches at Arbor Square, Harleysville, passed way Tuesday, April 30, 2013. She was the widow of James Ray Dixon who predeceased her in 1998. She was formerly from Cape May, New Jersey.
Born in Philadelphia, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Loretta (Lambert) Welsh.
She worked as a Bookkeeper for the United States Government for many years.
She was a member of St. Philip Neri Catholic Church of Pennsburg, a member of Christ Child’s Society of Cape May, NJ, NARFE, and was an officer in the Disabled American Veterans organization.
She is survived by her daughter, Dawn, wife of Robert Ellis of Pennsburg, PA; her siblings, Dorothy McLaughlin of Sebastian, FL, James Welsh of Florida, John Welsh of Philadelphia, PA and Kathryn R. Bourquin of Sewell, NJ; She was predeceased by her brother Joseph Welsh, Jr. She has three grandchildren, Robert, Jr., Timothy and Daniel; great-grandchildren, Samantha, Ryan, Eric, Baeley, Fionnbarr, Brittney, Matthew, and Mychal.
There will be a calling hour from 10:00 am until 11:00 am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am on Saturday, May 4, 2013 at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, 1325 Klinerd Road, Pennsburg, PA with Rev. Robert A. Roncase officiating. Burial will be private in Cape May County Veterans Cemetery of Cape May, NJ. Relatives and friends are invited to a viewing from 10:00am until 11:00 am Saturday at the Church. Arrangements are entrusted to Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home of East Greenville.
