Eugene T. Kulp, 83, of Red Hill, passed away on Monday, July 29, 2013 at Grand View Hospital. He was the husband of Gloria R. (Heacock) Kulp celebrating 57 years of marriage on October 28, 2012.
Born in Red Hill, he was a son of the late Elmer and Rella (Dunkel) Kulp.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in Korea and earning 5 bronze stars. He then worked 30 years at Superior Tube Co. in Collegeville until retiring in 1980.
He was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Sumneytown and was an avid gardener, hunter and fisherman and loved his dog and faithful companion, Toby.
Surviving along with his wife are three children, Lori J., wife of Ronald Schantz of Red Hill, Vickie L. Kulp and companion, Scott DeLong of Green Lane and Robert A. Kulp and companion, Jill Miller of Red Hill; a sister, Verna Myers of Pennsburg; five grandchildren, Haley, wife of Ryan Snyder, Dylan Schantz, Nicole Kulp, Cody Schantz and Melissa Kulp and two great grandchildren, Evan and Ava Snyder. Along with his parents, he is predeceased by five brothers, Clarence, Norman, Oliver, Harry and John Kulp and a sister, Elsie Walter.
A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Friday at Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington Street, East Greenville with Rev. Rebecca Eisenhart officiating. Burial follows in Frieden’s Union Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to a viewing from 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
