Erna T. (Simitz) Miklos, 91, formerly of Red Hill, Pennsburg and Palm, passed away Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at Frederick Living in Frederick, PA.
Born in Allentown, PA, she was a daughter of the late Rudolph and Anna (Berghold) Simitz.
She was a 1944 graduate of Quakertown High School and was a Clerk for both the Upper Perkiomen Senior Citizens Center and Trexler-Haines Gas Co. for many years.
Erna was a volunteer for the Community Thrift Shop in town, active in various quilting groups, and enjoyed traveling and gardening.
Surviving are her nine children, Doreen, wife of Dante Cimorelli of Wellsboro, Ron Miklos of Palm, Cynthia Miklos, wife of Bryce Swanker of Hereford, PA, Christine, wife of Shaun Grzywacz of Barto, PA, Andrew Miklos of Cudjoe Key, FL, Laureen Miklos of Hebron, KY, Tony Miklos of Newport, TN, Joseph Miklos and wife, Shelly of Sellersville, and Dave Miklos of Palm Coast, FL; 14 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren; four sisters, Anna Bauman, Leona Buzby, Dolores Ruppel and Sandra Simitz.
In addition to her parents she is predeceased by a son, James Miklos, one grandchild, one great-grandchild, two sisters, Lillian Janesch, and Rosemarie Garner; and a brother, Rudolph Simitz.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 13, 2018 at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, 1325 Klinerd Road, Pennsburg, PA 18073 with Rev. Robert A. Roncase officiating. Burial follows in the Holy Cross Cemetery, Pennsburg. There will be no calling hour. Arrangements are entrusted to Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington Street, East Greenville, PA 18041.
