Elsie M. (Curran) Marks, 81, companion of James Peart and widow of Harold R. Marks, of View Road, Pennsburg died peacefully Friday, March 16, 2012 at her daughter’s home in East Greenville surrounded by her family.
She was a daughter of the late John and Stella (Christman) Curran.
She was an avid bowler and a member of the Ladies Auxiliaries of the Red Hill Fire Company, East Greenville Fire Company and the American Legion Post #184.
She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and will be sadly missed by her four children, Mary Lou, wife of David Stoneback of Red Hill, Richard L. Marks and wife, Susan of Laporte, Gary L. Marks, widower of Cynthia, of Palm and Barbara A., wife of Glenn Sands of East Greenville; 10 grandchildren, Brandi Kralik, Jason Cathers, Troy and Ryan Marks, Christi Smith, David Miller, Tracy Peart and Stephanie, Josh and Matt Sands and 19 great grandchildren. Along with her husband and parents, she was predeceased by an infant son, Bryan Marks.
A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. on Wednesday at the Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington Street, East Greenville. Burial follows in St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery, Red Hill.
